As of November 2023, President Biden has been caught in the border between both sides of the complex and sensitive issue of the Israel-Gaza conflict. In one letter, Biden reannounced the ongoing alliance with Israel. He expressed his prioritization of Israel's security, lining up the message of his letter with the pro-Israel ties prevalent within certain parts of America.

In a recent and separate letter, Biden wrote with more distinction, touching on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He conveyed concern for the many Palestinian civilian deaths and the difficult, inhumane living conditions faced by the Palestinians. This message from Biden was curated to resonate with Americans who are adamant towards a more balanced approach and the account of the human toll caused by the conflict, opening a path for a broader viewpoint in the matter of U.S. policy in the region of war.

By creating two letters for two opposite scopes of vision, President Biden’s goal was to demonstrate the complexity of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Juggling his excessive support for Israel while also finally acknowledging the human suffering and genocide within Palestine, Biden aimed to cater to the wide perspectives within the country he leads, even and especially those who fall under his wing when it comes to to aiding Israel with arms to murder innocent Palestinians just trying to get by in their war ridden home country. The letters attempt to manage international relations with both Israel and Gaza, as well as the crowd forced to face unfortunate realities due to the Israel-Gaza conflict.
