AI is programmed to be biased. The creator programs AI with information that is biased. Not everything AI says is necessarily true. It could just be an opinion of one, giving the opinion to others and calling it a fact. AI occupies many jobs that would otherwise be paying the average citizen what they need to support themselves. Imagine in 10 years, how many people have lost their jobs. AI is already able to take over several jobs, such as telemarketing, factory work, driving, acting, and an infinite number of other jobs.

Big companies know that AI could be useful for the workplace because it saves them money, they do not need to pay anyone and AI is capable of doing the work of multiple human employees. In the year 2020, The World Economic Forum found that AI would most likely take 85 million jobs globally by 2025. The biggest problem caused by AI is job displacement. This is affecting the job market and workforce. AI is already responsible for nearly 4,000 people losing their jobs in May of 2023. The company that created ChatGPT estimated that 80% of the U.S. workforce would have at least 10% of their jobs affected by this. By taking over jobs and people relying on AI, many people are left jobless. AI provides faster and more accurate decision-making than human workers. An example of this is several pharmacies are replacing human pharmacists with robots so they can sort and manage prescriptions. These robots help prevent accidents human workers may have missed. The downside is that AI is bad for the environment because as AI datasets and models become more complex, the energy needed to run AI grows. This increases energy use and affects greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. Training a common large AI model can emit up to 626,000 pounds of carbon dioxide.

AI has been making fake trailers/commercials with fake people made by AI. Several Hollywood actors are in the union, SAG-AFTRA, (the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) which is a union that protects actors in regards to receiving fair pay, good working conditions, etc. These Hollywood actors are on strike and refuse to act in anything because they do not want AI to take over their jobs and associated pay so SAG is fighting for them to make sure these actors do not lose their jobs.

There are now apps people can download where there is an AI computer talking to them. It is in a text message format and you can say anything to it, such as asking for advice or wanting to talk to them as if they are human. This can cause emotional attachments with AI and might make people feel as if they are communicating to a real human. AI is slowly taking over the World and soon enough everything will revolve around AI.
